• Information you provide. Vehicle identifiers you enter or scan (such as a licence plate number) and any details you submit in a support request or feedback form.
• Camera data. If you use the scan feature, the App accesses your device camera solely to read a licence plate. Images are processed for that purpose only and are not retained after processing or used for any other purpose.
• Technical and usage data. Standard information automatically generated when software communicates over the internet, such as device type, operating-system version, app version, coarse language/region settings, IP address, request timestamps and error/diagnostic logs.

We do not knowingly collect precise location data, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, photos unrelated to a scan, health data, or government-issued identification numbers.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the core function of the App — retrieving vehicle information and price estimates for the identifier you supply.
• To operate, maintain, secure and troubleshoot the Service.
• To detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and technical faults.
• To improve features, reliability and performance through aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
• To respond to your enquiries and to comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app behavioural profiling.

3. Legal Bases (where applicable)

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of performance of a contract (delivering the features you request), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and service improvement), your consent (for example, camera access, which you may withdraw at any time in your device settings), and compliance with legal obligations.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. Hosting, storage, content-delivery and error-monitoring vendors that process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Data sources. A vehicle identifier you submit may be transmitted to public vehicle registries or licensed data providers in order to return the information you requested.
• Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Camera images are discarded immediately after a scan is processed. Server and diagnostic logs are retained for a short period (typically up to 90 days) and then deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law or for the resolution of a security incident.

6. Security

All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We apply access controls, hardening and monitoring appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data; object to or request restriction of certain processing; and withdraw consent you have given. You may also revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings, and you may remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the App. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. International Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country of residence. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
